SPRINGFIELD, IL - State Sen. Darin LaHood (R-Dunlap) offered the following comments after Bruce Rauner took the oath of office to become the 42nd Governor of Illinois on January 12.
"Illinois is poised to make an economic recovery and reemerge as the national leader that we were in the 80s and 90s. The election of Bruce Rauner and the common-sense business voice that he brings to the Governor's Mansion has been missing for the past 12 years," LaHood said. "We must focus on what we do well - agriculture, heavy machinery manufacturing and technology will be the three keys to our recovery. I am also looking forward to helping Governor Rauner restore ethics and transparency to government."
