State Senator-Designate Chuck Weaver will take the Oath of Office on October 8, with Chief Judge Stephen Kouri, administering the Oath of Office to Mr. Weaver in the Peoria County Court House. His wife, Laurie, Daughter, Annie (Mark) Bell and son, Travis, along with grandson Will Bell will be joining him.
Weaver was chosen by the 37th District legislative selection committee to replace former Senator Darin LaHood (R-Dunlap), who was recently elected to serve as United States Representative for Illinois’ 18th Congressional District.
Chuck Weaver has been active businessman and philanthropist in the greater-Peoria area for decades. Elected as an “at-large” city councilman in 2011, Mr. Weaver grew up on his family's central Illinois farm. He is a graduate of Dunlap High School, Bradley University, and DePaul School of Law.
Local media outlets are invited to cover the swearing-in ceremony to be held at the Peoria County Courthouse, Courtroom 214, 324 Main St., Peoria.
