Students representing nearly 100 school districts across Illinois traveled to Springfield May 10 as part of the annual TECH 2016 program in the Illinois Statehouse.
TECH 2016 is designed to show state leaders what skills will be needed for the Illinois work force and how technology can improve teaching and learning.
Since 1990, students and teachers have been traveling to Springfield to show public policymakers how they are using technology in the classroom. TECH 2016 is a student technology showcase intended to demonstrate the importance of developing a plan to promote adequate, equalized and reliable funding to meet school technology needs.
