Impacting approximately 29 million Americans, diabetes continues to grow as a public health crisis and remains to be one of the leading causes of death in the United States. To help bring attention to the growing health crisis, the month of November is recognized as American Diabetes Month.
With a diabetes diagnosis happening every 23 seconds and over 86 million Americans currently at risk for developing diabetes, this month of observance is meant to encourage educated awareness about the disease and promote healthy living.
